Fin & Lady
I worked again with the amazing Charlotte Strick, who wanted me to execute this concept. Something fun and that leaned toward the 60's. We had so much fun making it. At the last minute, Barnes and Noble decided that the demographic needed a design that is not illustrated.
Thus the concept was changed. This design was still used for audiobooks, but ultimately the design was forced to become what it is now. The editors at FSG, the author, Charlotte and I were very sad to see it go.
